Sebelumnya hanya diumumkan untuk Nintendo Switch, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin pada akhirnya juga akan dirilis untuk PC. Sekuel dari spinoff yang lebih fokus pada aspek naratif ini direncanakan rilis bersamaan pada kedua platform pada 9 Juli 2021 mendatang.
Bicara soal PC, Capcom telah merilis spesifikasi dari game lewat halaman Steam dari game tersebut. Dari apa yang dituliskan, game spinoff ini tidak akan membutuhkan konfigurasi PC yang begitu tinggi. Game hanya membutuhkan GTX650 untuk minimum dan GTX760 untuk optimal yang dimana keduanya sudah menjadi GPU tua.
