Salah satu event tahunan terbesar dalam industri gaming yaitu Gamescom 2021 telah selesai dilaksanakan. Selain mengumumkan beragam game baru, Gamescom juga memberikan penghargaan kepada beberapa developer melalui Gamescom Awards 2021.
Dalam daftar pemenang yang ada terlihat bahwa game Elden Ring serta perusahaan Bandai Namco Entertainment mendominasi kategori yang tersedia. Elden Ring sendiri merupakan game garapan FromSoftware yang melanjutkan lagi esensi dari genre Dark Souls dengan beberapa fitur tambahan yang menarik.
