Award atau penghargaan biasanya diberikan kepada para insan kreatif di dunia industri tertentu. Biasanya penghargaan diberikan untuk menghormati kerja keras mereka dalam menghasilkan sesuatu. Tidak terkecuali dalam industri game yang memiliki cukup banyak penghargaan bergengsi.
Famitsu seperti biasa akan mengadakan penghargaan atau award untuk beberapa game. Kali ini mereka mengadakan pengharggan untuk game pada tahun 2019. Pemenang akan diumumkan pada tanggal 18 April 2020 dalam siaran langsung via Famitsu. Ini akan berlangsung mulai pukul 18:30 hingga 21:00 JST. Awal tahun ini, penggemar di Jepang memilih game favorit mereka yang dirilis pada 2019 untuk Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019. Berikut adalah nominasi dari setiap kategori:
